Baptism is the first of the three sacraments of Christian initiation which make us full members of the Church, the Body of Christ in the world. It is the gate to the other sacraments. Once given, it is not given again, because it seals us with a permanent spiritual character: we belong to Jesus Christ our Savior and become like him - children of God, able to enter heaven. Baptism frees us from sin and gives us new life in the Holy Spirit.
To have your child baptized at either St. Jude or St. Edward, use the download link to the left and return the completed form to your parish or call either parish office. Please register your Baptism at least two weeks in advance.
Attendance at a Baptism Preparation Class is a requirement for the parents of the child to be baptized. The Baptism Preparation Class for parents from both parishes is at 7:00pm on the first Tuesday of the month at St. Edward Parish. Godparents are also welcome to attend.
